Will there be more MonsterVerse? Legendary Director Already Responded

The movie ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ was one of the great surprises of this 2021 and although it had a simultaneous launch on HBO Max, it has managed to raise more than 300 million dollars so far, which makes it the most important premiere since the beginning of the pandemic, but this success also brought some doubts, as it is unknown if this franchise would continue, since there are no plans for more films, but the Director of Legendary has already talked about the future of the MonsterVerse.

The so-called MonsterVerse has been one of the few cinematic universes that have been well developed and received by the public unlike other failed attempts like the Dark Universe that was canceled after the first movie, but apparently ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ was the one. “litmus test” to find out if the public was interested in these productions.

In a recent interview with Josh Grode, director of Legendary Pictures, he spoke about the future of the MonsterVerse and assured that there are “several ideas for more films”, without specifying more about these possible ideas, but apparently the Godzilla vs Kong full movie box office success of the last one. The film has not gone unnoticed by the production company and it is very likely that it is already working on developing more stories.

One of the rumors that have arisen has been a possible spin-off of Ghidorah, where we would learn more about the past of this alien monster and how it came to earth and another of the ideas is to know more about Skull Island and the way in that it connects with the hollow earth, something we saw recently in ‘Godzilla vs Kong’, so we only have to wait to know what the plan for the future of the franchise is.
